Beaches of Goa

The beaches of Goa are speckled with pretty little beach shacks that provide ice cold beer and piquant Goan cuisine. The list below comprises several of my preferred Goa beaches. You won't discover any of the more admired, overcrowded beaches here - similar to Colva and Calangute beach - that are done to demise in every Goa travel guide or information brochure. These are just the best beaches to trip, several a little off the beaten track.

Candolim Beach
candolim beach goa
Candolim is the hometown of Abbe Faria, a Goan Freedom Fighter and the Father of Hypnotism. When we reside at Candolim, we generally book one of the rent-back apartments a stone's throw left from the beach. There is little or no shelter near to the beach, but you can lease out a beach umbrella, sample the good food accessible at the beach shacks that point the beach, and sun yourself in loneliness. This Goa beach is very admired with package tourists, but is still not too crowded.

Sinquerim Beach
Sinquerim Beach goa
Sinquerim beach has clean, white sand, and is near to the momentous Fort Aguada, the early 17th century Portuguese fort that was constructed by the Portuguese to control the entry into River Mandovi and to defend old Goa from opponent attack. You can acquire a long pace from Sinquerim beach all the way equipped Candolim beach, which continues all the way north to Baga.

Baga Beach
Baga Beach goa
Baga is a diminutive fishing beach with a copse of shady palms nearly the water's edge. There are some buses that arrive all the way to the beach's edge, but nothing after dark. It's an extended walk to the Calangute taxi stand from the beach, so if you preparing to stay later than sundown, ensure you have your own transport. Baga is in fact an addition of Calangute beach. But unlike Calangute, which is crowded, vertical and stained by hazardous undercurrents, the beach at Baga is flat, secure for swimming, and has clean, white sand.

Bambolim Beach
Bambolim Beach goa
Bambolim beach is a diminutive, clean, mainly undiscovered beach, in a shaded spot prior to the mouth of the river Zuari. The way in to the beach is simply missed and lies along the hill among Goa Medical College and the Goa University. The road goes all the way behind to the Bambolim beach resort from where you can build your way to the beach. The beach is carpeted with wrecked mother-of-pearl and other shells, which formulates it a haven for shell-collectors. Broad coconut groves line the beach and afford shade and privacy. It’s a stunning beach for a quiet, cozy picnic.

You can like lunch at the Bambolim Beach Resort restaurant, serenaded by one of the confined singers or bands. When you choose to head back home, take the road that goes to the attractive Goa University all the way up to Dona Paula. A little offs the road prior to Dona Paula just before the National Institute of Oceanography, is a restaurant known White House. It provides superb seafood and has a view of the bay to die for.

Arambol Beach
Arambol Beach goa
Arambol Beach is close to the conventional fishing village of Arambol and is an isolated stretch of beach recognized for its rocky and sandy terrain. Until lately Arambol was a preferred Goa beach for hippies and its claim to fame was the wild parties it was host to. The main beach is comparatively good for swimming. To the north are quiet bays where you can obtain long walks with starfish underfoot. There's a hot spring close to the main beach that runs into a freshwater lake. Sporty types can benefit from activities like dolphin watching boat trips and paragliding.

Vagator Beach
Vagator Beach goa
Vagator is one of the more attractive white sand Goa beaches. To arrive at the beach, you have to walk down a steep cliff. The sea here is not secure for swimming, but for the period of the tourist season, it has an active nightlife. The south beach is fairly spacious and more secluded. A little further south of the main beach you'll discover the quitter Little Vagator or Ozran beach with a fresh water pool. You can also trip the close by Chapora Fort. Accomodation is not always simple to discover because there are few hotels here.

Benaulim Beach
Benaulim Beach goa
Benaulim beach is more nonviolent and calm than Colva and still rather undiscovered by marital tourists. According to Hindu myths, this is the place where the arrow of Lord Parsurama landed when he shaped the state of Goa. Identified in Sanskrit as Banali, it was distorted to Benaulim by the Portuguese. The main magnetism on this beach is the dolphin cruises. The church of St. John the Baptist on the hill is a magnificent instance of Goan Christian architecture. With the first drops of the Indian monsoon, the village shatters into a celebration of thanks giving for the Feast of São João.

Palolem Beach
Palolem beach goa
Palolem beach, located in the Canacona district, is as well recognized as "Paradise Beach". Until a few years back, it was amongst the virgin beaches of Goa. It is a fishing beach admired for its dolphin cruises and fishing trips. At the northern end of the beach is a miniature, island in the middle of a fresh water stream that can be reached by swimming athwart at low tide.

Agonda Beach
Agonda Beach goa
Agonda is a virgin elongate of beach twelve kilometres from Palolem and, until lately, was undiscovered by tourists. It is every so often frequented by day picnickers. The waters are crystal clear and it’s simple to observe the bottom of the shore while swimming. Look out for the sharp barnacles if you decide to climb any of the rocks there.

Mobor and Cavelossim Beaches
Mobor and Cavelossim Beaches
Cavelossim Beach is a diminutive stretch of beach eleven kilometers south of Colva beach. South of Cavelossim beach is the Mobor beach that at this time boasts of five star resorts like the Leela Beach Resort. Both beaches are comparatively isolated and there are few beach shacks here. Mobor has a fishing village with a diminutive lagoon near the mouth of a river, and it’s amusing to look at the seagulls that come to feast on the fish drying on the sand.

Plz share with your friends:-
